Educational Technology at Bbn 13.1 from Drill-and-practice to " Intelligent " Cai
نویسنده
چکیده
Since the early 1960s, BBN mathematicians, scientists, and engineers have explored ways to use computer and communications technologies to improve teaching and learning. BBN staff members have conducted basic research in human cognition and learning, developed innovative software tools to extend and enrich the traditional curriculum, and provided professional development to help educators make effective use of the new technologies. They have helped schools employ networking facilities to connect teachers and students with each other and with national and global resources.1

This impressive or CAÃ, system makes impressive contributions to the state of the art of CAI. It's a combination of field-proven hardware, a standard computer language, and well tested curricula. The first curriculum is an elementary mathematics drill and practice program. THAT A NEW PRODUCT SHOULD contribute substantially to the state of the art has long been a philosophical tenet at Hewlett-P...
متن کاملIntelligent computer-aided instruction: a survey organized around system components
This paper presents a survey of the issues and previous research in Intelligent Computer-Aided Instruction (ICAI). Unlike previous surveys of ICAI, which have been organized around the seminal ICAI systems, this one concentrates on the contribution of each eeort to our understanding of the various components of ICAI systems. Along the way, comparisons are made between ICAI and CAI, although a C...
متن کاملDRILL WEAR PREDICTION SYSTEM USING OF MOTOR CURRENT AND FUZZY LOGIC METHOD
In automation flexible manufacturing systems, tool wear detection during the cutting process is one of the most important considerations. This study presents an intelligent system for online tool condition monitoring in drilling process .In this paper, analytical and empirical models have been used to predict the thrust and cutting forces on the lip and chisel edges of a new drill. Also an empi...
متن کاملPreparation and evaluation of 67Ga-DOTA-Bombesin (7-14) as a tumor scintigraphic agent
Introduction: Bombesin is a 14-aminoacid peptide isolated from frog skin. The mammalian counterparts of the frog peptide are neuromedin B (NMB) and gastrin-releasing peptide (GRP). Bombesin (BBN) is a peptide showing high affinity for the gastrin releasing peptide receptor (GRPr). Prostate, small cell lung cancer, breast, gastric, and colon cancers are known to over...
متن کاملComputer-Assisted Instruction (CAI), Virtual Patients (VP), and Human Patient Simulation (HPS) in Medical Education Based on Gagne’s Educational Design Pattern
Background and objectives: Educational technology is widely used in all parts of medical education. The use and application of common educational technologies and adoption of educational design patterns in medical sciences education can greatly help in medical simulations, training, and improving of clinical skills of nurses and medical students. The aim of this research was to study computer-a...
